2019 Broomfield BEST Robotics - Off the Grid

MeetingS

Tuesdays & Thursdays

3:45-5pm

The Broomfield High School Engineering Club aims to provide a place for students to learn about engineering and all STEAM subjects through hands-on, project-based learning.

We meet on Tuesdays from 3:45-4:45pm beginning September 15. All are welcome to join us--no experience necessary!

If you're interested in participating, drop in for one of our meetings (currently digital) and/or message Mr. Leonard or Ms. Dykstra with any questions.

What do we do in Engineering Club?

Each fall, the Engineering club participates in the Rocky Mountain BEST Robotics Competition, which lasts for 6 weeks in September and October. Fall 2019 was Broomfield's 10th year competing!

This winter, our team is competing in the Girls Go CyberStart Cybersecurity Competition. Only the girls on our team can compete, but all of our team members are completing the challenges and learning about cybersecurity together.

We also have weekly build challenges and other on-going projects. Beginning in Spring 2020, we will have monthly guest speakers from local STEM companies and organizations who will be leading mini-workshops for our team members to help us explore different careers in STEM fields. Stay tuned for a calendar of events!
